From the moment we met her, she made us feel completely comfortable and genuinely excited to be in front of the camera—something we were looking forward to for our 1-year anniversary shoot. I had met with several photographers before Angélica, and none of them gave me the level of comfort, reassurance, and intentionality that Angélica did. She is such a fun yet professional photographer and is able to put you at ease the moment you meet. I had been very concerned with lighting when I was looking for someone to capture my elopement. As a mixed race couple, one of us is usually over or underexposed. I’ve had photos taken at other events where I genuinely look like a ghost next to my husband. Several photographers I had chatted with did not have experience shooting mixed race couples and I didn’t see evidence in their portfolios that exposure wasn’t going to be an issue. A few months before my wedding. I ended up at a wedding that Angélica captured. The couple had done photos with Angélica before and I had noted that she did a great job of balancing the photo to emphasize both of them. At the wedding, I was blown away by how effortlessly Angélica interacted with every member of the wedding, from bride to great grandma! It was so clear that she would be easy to work with, open to new and fun ideas, and would also capture stunning shots! I spoke with her at that wedding and we began planning for our own!

Angélica was a dream to work with. My husband and I had our engagement photos and wedding photos taken by her and she not only made us LOOK so good, but she also made us feel good. She listened to what we wanted and did absolutely everything she could to perfect out dreams. She is so kind and warm, just like the hot drinks she brought us at our engagement shoot.
